There’s a question that starts as a whisper and grows into a roar over time: Am I living a life I won’t regret?

For me, that question became impossible to ignore. After a career spent leading teams and building complex systems from London to Tokyo (you can see my full engineering journey at Walking Jupiter), I realized the most important project I could ever tackle wasn’t for a corporation.

It was for myself.

We all have those big, life-changing goals: get healthy, learn a new skill, change careers. But they often feel shrouded in fog, with no clear path forward and no one to hold us accountable. I’ve felt that fog, and I’m going to do what engineers do best: build my way out of it.

The Goal I Thought I Had

When I decided to get serious, my first goal seemed obvious: lose 10kg. It’s a concrete, measurable, and meaningful challenge that’s been on my mind for years. It felt like the perfect place to start.

But as I sat down to plan, I had a jarring realization.

Losing 10kg isn’t my first goal. It’s my first destination.

My real, all-consuming first goal is to build the engine that will get me there. Before I can conquer my health, I need to forge the tool.

So, What’s the Real First Goal? Shipping JupiterGoals.

I’m building JupiterGoals, an AI-powered accountability partner. It’s designed to deconstruct massive goals into simple, daily actions, track progress relentlessly, and provide the systemic push we all need to stay on track.

I am User Zero. This blog is my public commitment to building it from scratch.

This journey has two missions:

  1. An Engineering Log: I won’t share everything, but I will share what matters. Expect deep dives into the architecture, the technical challenges, and the systems thinking behind the product—curated insights for fellow engineers and founders.
  2. A Shared Struggle: This is for anyone who has felt the gap between ambition and action. By documenting my progress, I hope to inspire you to start your own project, or to use this one to finally tackle a goal you’ve been putting off.

The Ultimate Test: The 10kg Challenge

Once JupiterGoals is live, its first mission will be the very goal that inspired it: to guide me in losing 10kg over 6 months.

It will be the ultimate proof of concept. Can the system I designed help me achieve a tangible, life-changing result? Can the tool I build help me build a better version of myself?

Eventually, JupiterGoals will even manage its own development roadmap. The system will build the system.

Join Me on the Journey

I started the design in late 2025 and wrote the first line of code on November 8th. The engine is currently being built in private.

If you’re a developer, an aspiring founder, or just someone who refuses to let your best intentions fade into regret, I invite you to follow along.

And if you want to know more about the person behind the code, check WalkingJupiter.
